Terms of Use
Last Updated:
1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use ofApplianceQuoter websites, tools, and related services (the “Services”). By accessing or using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
2. ApplianceQuoter Service
ApplianceQuoter is a consumer-facing appliance repair information, estimate, referral, and service-request platform. The Services may include:
- Estimated repair price ranges
- Common possible causes
- Repair-versus-replace guidance
- Replacement-cost guidance
- Quote checking tools
- Service-area availability information
- Referrals or connections to third-party repair providers
Unless expressly stated otherwise, ApplianceQuoter does not itself perform appliance repairs. Independent third-party service providers may diagnose and perform work. Providers available through the platform are not employees of ApplianceQuoter solely because a request is referred or transmitted through the Services.
3. Estimates Are Informational
Estimates, ranges, possible causes, and related guidance shown by ApplianceQuoter are informational only and are not guaranteed final repair prices. Actual cost may differ because of physical diagnosis, appliance condition, model or configuration, required parts, parts availability, labor, taxes, additional damage, location, and other circumstances.
A technician or service provider’s on-site diagnosis may differ from theApplianceQuoter result. You should treat platform outputs as decision-support tools, not as binding quotes from ApplianceQuoter or any provider.
4. Service Call Policy
When service is requested through ApplianceQuoter, applicable service-call terms may be displayed at the time of booking. As a general example of current platform terms:
- $79 diagnostic/service call if no repair is completed.
- If you proceed with an eligible completed repair, the service call may be waived or applied according to the offer displayed at booking (for example, a $0 service call with repair).
The visit is not unconditionally free. Any service-call terms shown at the time of booking control if they differ from the general examples in these Terms. Final charges for diagnosis or repair remain subject to the provider’s assessment and the terms communicated for that visit.
Current configured service-call fee reference: $79.
5. Third-Party Service Providers
ApplianceQuoter may refer users to, or transmit service requests to, third-party appliance repair companies, technicians, contractors, dispatch companies, or other service providers. Different markets or ZIP codes may be fulfilled by different providers.
Third-party providers may be independent businesses responsible for the actual repair service they provide, including diagnosis, pricing, workmanship, scheduling, licensing, insurance, warranties, and customer communications related to the job.
6. Provider Communication
By requesting service through the Services, you request and authorize ApplianceQuoterand the service provider receiving the request to contact you regarding that specific service request, including booking confirmation, scheduling, rescheduling, diagnosis, estimates, and service coordination, using the contact methods you provide (such as phone call or text).
This authorization is limited to communications reasonably related to your service request. It is not blanket consent for unrelated telemarketing campaigns, bulk marketing texts, or unrelated third-party offers. Any separate marketing consent, if offered later, will be presented as an explicit consent mechanism.
7. Compensated Referrals
ApplianceQuoter may receive compensation from third-party service providers for referrals, leads, bookings, introductions, or completed services. Compensation may include lead fees, referral fees, commissions, marketing fees, or other commercial arrangements.
Commercial relationships may influence which providers are available through the platform. ApplianceQuoter does not claim to search or compare the entire market, and does not claim that any provider shown is necessarily the cheapest, highest rated, or objectively best provider available.
8. No Guarantee of Provider Performance
ApplianceQuoter does not guarantee the performance, availability, pricing, licensing, insurance, workmanship, or customer service of independent third-party providers. Disputes about a provider’s work should generally be directed to that provider in the first instance. Nothing in these Terms requires you to waive non-waivable consumer rights under applicable law.
9. User Responsibilities
You agree to:
- Provide accurate information when using the Services
- Use the Services only for lawful purposes
- Keep your contact information current for service coordination
